400-700nm PMMA optical filter

High-performance infrared transmitting filter fabricated from modified PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate) acrylic resin with embedded nano-scale IR-transmissive compounds.

It appears visually opaque black to the human eye with less than 1% transmission across the 400–700 nm visible band, yet delivers greater than 85–95% transmission in the near-infrared (NIR) region (720–1100 nm, optimized at 850 nm / 940 nm).

This unique property allows the filter to conceal internal electronic components behind a black surface while efficiently passing IR signals for remote control, facial recognition, gesture sensing, and night vision illumination.

Available as injection-molded, CNC-cut, or laser-cut custom shapes (round, square, strip, complex geometry) with ±0.02 mm precision.
