390nm excitation filter for biomedical fluorescence testing custom optical filter

  • Precision narrow bandpass interference filter centered at 390 nm (near-UV / violet excitation band), designed to isolate the excitation wavelength for violet-excited fluorophores (e.g., DAPI, Hoechst 33342, AMCA, Cascade Violet) in biomedical fluorescence testing systems. 

    Hard-coated on UV-grade fused silica (JGS1) or UV-transmitting N-BK7 via ion-assisted deposition for high environmental stability and minimal wavefront error.

     Available as stand-alone filter windows, or integrated onto plano-convex / aspheric lenses (filter-coated lens) and dichroic sets for fluorescence microscopes, microplate readers, flow cytometers, and IVD analyzers. Fully customizable in size, FWHM, blocking level, and mechanical mount per OEM drawing.

    • Center Wavelength (CWL): 390 nm ± 2 nm (385 / 395 / 400 nm on request)
    • Half Bandwidth (FWHM): 10 nm / 15 nm / 20 nm / 30 nm (custom 5–50 nm)
    • Peak Transmittance (Tpeak): ≥ 35%–55% (all-dielectric on FS; >60% possible with optimized design)
    • Blocking Range: 200–1100 nm (or 300–700 nm + 750–1100 nm split blocking)
    • Blocking Level (Cut-off Depth): ≥ OD4 (0.01%) standard; OD5–OD6 optional
    • Substrate Material: UV Fused Silica (JGS1 — essential for <400 nm transmission) / UV-grade N-BK7 (on request)
    • Substrate Form: Plano-Plano Filter Window / Plano-Convex Lens with filter on flat side / Aspheric Lens + Filter Coating / Dichroic Set component
    • Substrate Diameter: 10 mm – 150 mm (common Ø12.7 / Ø25.4 / Ø50 mm)
    • Substrate Thickness: 1.0 / 2.0 / 3.0 mm (windows); per lens design if integrated
