What is Amici Prism

What is Amici Prism

Also called Amici Roof Prism / Right-angle Roof Prism, it is a special precision optical prism evolved from right-angle prism. Its hypotenuse surface is replaced by a precise 90° total internal reflection roof structure.

It bends light by 90° fixed deflection, fully erects & corrects inverted images, and eliminates left-right mirror reversal.


Features

  1. Fixed 90° beam deviation, no image flipping & mirror reversal, outputs upright normal image
  2. Ultra-precise 90° roof angle; tolerance<4 arcsec to avoid double ghost images
  3. Total internal reflection, high reflectivity, low stray light & clear imaging
  4. Compact integrated structure, shorter optical path than Porro prism systems
  5. Made of BK7 optical glass/fused silica, with high-transmittance AR multi-coating
  6. Low wavefront distortion, stable angle accuracy, long service life
