Edge Blackening (Edge Painting / Edge Inking) for Optical Lenses

Enhance the performance of your multi-element optical assemblies with our Edge-Blackened (Edge-Inked) Lens service. 

By applying RoHS-compliant matte black optical lacquer to the ground periphery of plano-convex, bi-convex, achromatic, and IR lenses, we effectively absorb stray and internally reflected light that would otherwise degrade image contrast. 

Compatible with lenses from Ø5 mm upward and any AR/BBAR coating, edge blackening is performed under clean-room protocol with clear-aperture protection and thickness-controlled ink application. 

Ideal for machine-vision objectives, medical imaging modules, laser systems, and thermal IR sensors requiring maximum SNR and minimal flare.
